What is meant for you…

What is meant for you…

What if Every Encounter is a Gift?

Have you ever considered that every person you meet has something to offer you? Maybe it’s a smile that warms your day, a simple hello that reminds you of human connection, or even a profound lesson that shapes your path. Each moment holds potential, and life often feels like an exchange of energy, doesn’t it?

But what if we approached every interaction with an open mind, free of expectations? What might we discover about ourselves and the world?

These questions have been stirring in my mind, especially as I reflect on my time at the Body Mind Spirit Festival in Melbourne. That weekend, I met so many people—each carrying pain, emotions, and memories from the past. Most of them just wanted to feel okay, to find peace, and to spark hope. It struck me how rare it was to meet someone who was genuinely happy and present.

It made me wonder: What’s the cost of living in the past?

The Weight of the Past

 1. The Present Gets Clouded
When you’re stuck in the past, you’re not truly open to the present or the future. Your thoughts keep replaying old stories, dragging them into your now. And let’s face it, we don’t usually cling to the positive memories—we fixate on the negative ones. This baggage can weigh you down emotionally. (P.S. If this resonates, the Letting Go scent has been a lifesaver for me in releasing what no longer serves me.)

2. Your Suitcase Gets Too Heavy
Imagine lugging around an emotional suitcase so stuffed with old pain that it’s impossible to move forward. Trust me, it’s exhausting—and unnecessary!

My Journey with Living in the Now

I’ll be honest—I’ve spent much of my life living in the future. For me, the future is exciting, full of possibility and opportunity. I like to know what’s coming so I can prepare. But here’s the catch: when the future becomes today, it often feels anticlimactic. The surprises are gone, and I get restless.

I’ve also struggled with trusting destiny. I’ve tried to control outcomes, to force things to happen on my timeline. But what I’ve learned—especially during that week in Melbourne—is that when you let go and trust the process, the magic unfolds.

The Solaz team and I experienced this firsthand. For six days, we were surrounded by signs and synchronicities. It was as if the universe was laying out a jigsaw puzzle, and we didn’t have to do much except be present. The pieces just clicked into place.

Learning to Trust the Flow

These days, I’m learning to embrace the now. While my intuitive skills often give me glimpses of the future, I’m making a conscious effort to walk the path as it’s presented to me. And let me tell you, it feels amazing. There’s a sense of peace and sacredness that I’ve never experienced before.

I’m not overthinking. I’m not stressed. I’m simply allowing the puzzle of life to form itself. It’s magical, beautiful, and full of delight.

Tips for Living in the Now

If you’re like me and need reminders to stay present, here are some tips:

1. Go with the Flow. When things feel stuck, step back. Release control and expectations. Let the universe guide the rhythm. (Balance scent can really help here.)

2. Release Control. Trying to control everything often slows the process. Trust that life knows what it’s doing.
3.
Trust Timing. What’s meant for you won’t pass you by. Even if it seems like it does, remember: timing is everything.

4. Think of Life as a Jigsaw Puzzle. Your job isn’t to force every piece into place. Just set the border and let the rest come together naturally.

5. Embrace Destiny. We all have a path. Walk it. Experience it. Let it unfold.

6. Be Present. When you’re in the now, you’ll feel calm, happy, and peaceful—like an omnipresence surrounding you.

Final Thoughts

As I continue this journey, I feel more aligned with myself and the universe. I’ve learned to trust that what’s meant for me will come. And I hope this serves as a reminder for you, too:

Trust yourself. Trust the flow. Trust destiny.

Because what is meant for you won’t go by you.

Are you living Simply?

Are you living Simply?

Are You Living Simply?

What are you really going for right now? Freedom? Happiness? A new job? Maybe it’s emotional stability, rearranging your home to create a fresh start, or simply trying to make ends meet. Perhaps you’re going through a breakup or need to let go of things that no longer serve you so you can create space for new beginnings.

Or maybe it’s something simpler. Maybe you’re learning how to de-clutter, to uncomplicate your life, to break down the chaos into something more manageable.

Or… are you just doing the same old thing you’ve always done and expecting a miracle?

Whatever it is, if you want to move forward, it’s so important to get clear on what you want and to focus on it. But how do you do that? And why does it matter?

The Power of Focus

Your mind is like a compass—it goes where you point it. If you don’t give it a clear direction, it will likely wander toward negativity, rehashing old worries or doubts. The brain is powerful, and if not trained to focus positively, it can quickly spiral into destructive patterns.

Think of it like training a child or a puppy. You don’t just tell them once not to touch something—they need consistent reminders until they learn. It’s the same with your mind.

Last year was tough for so many people. For some, it felt like everything fell apart. And yet, for others, it was a time of growth and transformation. How is it that two people can experience the same year so differently?

It comes down to perspective and focus. What are you looking at? Are you focusing on what went wrong, or are you finding the lessons and choosing to grow from them?

Let’s Get Real

Here’s an example:

“I lost my job on Monday, and I feel totally devastated. It’s like I’ve lost a part of myself. I can’t stop crying, and all my confidence has vanished. I used to be so happy and bubbly, and now I just feel empty.”

It’s okay to feel this way—those emotions are valid. But what happens next is up to you. You have a choice in how you frame this experience.

Option one: *I’ve lost a part of me.*

Option two: *My purpose in that job has come to an end. This is an opportunity to grow and explore something new.*

The situation doesn’t change, but your perspective does. Instead of staying stuck in loss, you can start asking questions like, “What did I love about that job? What didn’t I love? What kind of work would make me feel fulfilled moving forward?”

Trust me, I’ve been there. I’ve lost jobs and felt like I lost myself along with them. I used to believe my job was my identity, that what I *did* was who I *was*. But that’s not true. Your job—or any external thing—does not define you. It’s just something you *do*.

Breaking the Cycle

Society has taught us to tie our worth to things—our jobs, our possessions, our titles. It’s this endless loop: you work a job you don’t love to pay for things you don’t need, hoping they’ll make you feel good. But they don’t, so you keep chasing.

The higher up the ladder you go, the more you spend, the more trapped you feel. It’s a cycle that keeps you disconnected from your true self.

But you can break free. You don’t have to stay on the merry-go-round. Simplifying your life—letting go of what doesn’t serve you—can help you step into something more meaningful.

What I’ve Learned

Over the years, I’ve worked hard to shift out of that cycle. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. I’ve simplified, let go, and reconnected with what truly matters.

I’ve learned that the mind craves clarity and direction. If you don’t decide what you want, you’ll default to habits that keep you stuck. But when you focus on what you want—and take small steps toward it—you can create a life that feels aligned, joyful, and free.

So let me ask you:
– What are you going for right now?
– Do you even know?
– Are you focusing on it?

Because what you focus on, you create.

Final Thoughts

Life isn’t about having all the answers or controlling every detail. It’s about showing up, doing the inner work, and trusting the process. It’s about learning to let go, simplify, and focus on what truly matters.

Whatever you’re going for, know that it’s possible. But you have to take that first step.

So, what are you going for today?
